so long, farewell

so long, farewell

The flow of consciousness is on a loop that spills out onto a page.

Alive in the new same old way that I've always been.

I'm in a cocoon. The self sloughed down into nothing. Same parts take up an unrecognizable form..

Some day this will be unearthed.

I chop some part of myself down into sustenance.

Fire blazing with wood from wet timber and bark.

Smoke-filled for the first time, nowhere to look but up.

It lives here now, this word, edible on a soaked up tongue.

Remember what you always remember you forgot.

I'm in my body and it's heavy.

I bite on my cheek and chew.
